Andy and Teri Cristaldi 
| Directors | | Andy and his wife Teri are the program directors. Having lived on Kodiak for eleven years‚ they are well aquainted with life on the Island. Andy and Teri believe that Kodiak is one of the most beautiful places on the earth and they find it personally satisfying to be able to share the experience of the rich natural wonders that the island has to offer. |
| Andy is a graduate of St Bonaventure University and has taught school and coached football. Andy brings to our students vast outdoor experience as a fisherman and hunter. Andy has extensive "bush experience" on Kodiak Island both personally and professionally. He has spent time working for a five-star fishing lodge in Bristol Bay, Alaska. |
| For the past six years Andy and Teri have opened their home in Montana for young people struggling with life issues. |
Ron Kazmierczak 
| Head Chef and Senior Counselor | | We are pleased to have Ron back for a fourth season as our head chef and nutrition counselor. A graduate of the University of Montana with a BS in Forest Management‚ Ron has worked extensively with teenagers both in Kodiak and in local youth groups. |
| Ron will instruct the students on cleaning‚ processing‚ brining and smoking the fish they catch. An avid outdoorsman‚ Ron is a skilled hunter‚ fisherman and boater. |
| Ron resides with his wife Pat‚ in Montana. |
Dr. Randy Lovell 
| Senior Activity Counselor‚ Emergency Health Care | | General practice physician and high school athletic team doctor‚ Dr. Lovell is the medical director for our emergency health care protocol. Dr Lovell will be onsite for the third year this 2008 season guiding hikes and instructing on fly and open water fishing. |
| He spends a great deal of his free time hiking in the mountain ranges of Montana‚ where he practices and lives. |
Curt Kegel 
| Senior Activity Counselor, Project Development | | As a high school industrial arts teacher and football coach for thirty years, Curt has dedicated his adult life to working with high school and Jr. high students as a mentor‚ teacher‚ and coach. |
| Curt will be designing and overseeing the build out of the new Kodiak Pathways Lodge this year for the summer of 2008. An avid hunter‚ fisherman and boater‚ Curt returns for a third year to instruct the participants on fishing, fly tying and boating. |
| Curt resides with his wife Cheryl‚ in Montana. |
Wendy A. Close Eskew 
| Senior Activity Counselor | | Wendy is a Kayak & River Raft Guide / Instructor Lifeguard / Professional Rescuer / Hunting Guide / Archery Instructor / Tracker & Hunter / Fisheries Aid & Wilderness Survival Teacher, who finds time among her many activities to go sea-kayaking with our participants and teach Wildlife Photography as well as hunting, tracking and fishing techniques. |
| Wendy has the last 8 years owned and run Alaskan Wilderness Adventures - Kodiaks Wild Side, which specializes in wildlife viewing adventures via Sea Kayak, as well as Mountain Climbing & Backpacking Expeditions. |
| Wendy started her carreer by enlisting in the military at 17 to train as a Marine Science Technician. She left the army to raise & home school her 2 children, which thrust her into the path of teaching. During winter months, Wendy works as a substitute teacher for the public school system. She enjoys working with kids, now that her own are grown. Wendy teaches kindergarten to calculus and does not have any restrictions on what grades she is comfortable teaching. She is frequently called upon to work with special ed children one on one as an aid. |
| Wendy lives on Kodiak Island and enjoys it's plentiful wildlife equally for hunting or "watching" through her camera lens. |
Roger W. Aulabaugh 
| Senior Activity Counselor | | Roger Aulabaugh is a retired Alaska State Fish and Wildlife Trooper and has been operating Dutchman Charters in Kodiak, Alaska for the last 10 year. He has been operating boats in Alaskan waters for 40 years. During Roger´s last four years with Fish and Wildlife he was the 1st Mate and relief skipper on a 121 foot Bering Sea patrol vessel. As a result of his years of vessel operation for the State of Alaska he is currently carrying a 200 Ton Master's license from the US Coast Guard. |
| The charter vessel, Miss Chevious, is a 28´ Bayliner command bridge with comfortable, heated cabin, and enclosed head (or bathroom for landlubbers). She carries all current USCG safety equipment and is maintained in a professional manner. |
| Rodger enjoys fishing with families and young people and often does exclusive charters just for family groups. |
Cy Hentges 
| Senior Activity Counselor | Cy is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a degree in Forestry and Wildlife Management. |
Now retired from his position as a Park Ranger for the National Park Service‚ Cy served as Superintendent at Mount Ranier and the North Cascades in Washington state and the Craters of the Moon National Monument in southern Idaho. |
Cy is well suited with his knowledge of wildlife to conduct the hikes at Kodiak Pathways. In his down time‚ Cy enjoys hiking (of course!), fishing‚ hunting‚ golfing‚ and cross country skiing. |

Leah Cristaldi 
| Senior Activity Counselor | | Leah grew up on Kodiak Island and is a graduate of the University of Idaho with a degree in sociology and a minor in horticulture. |
| While attending college, she was appointed to an internship at the famed Calloway Gardens. While a student at the U of I, Leah held the office of Student Director of Diversity Affairs and was honored at graduation with the Legacy of Leadership award and memorialized on the University of Idaho's "walk of fame". |
| Leah enjoys hiking, fly fishing, kayaking, and flora. She frequently takes her dog Aurora along while hiking. Leah makes her home in Moscow, Idaho.

Stan Sowers 
| Senior Activity Counselor | A former Air Traffic Controller‚ Stan is a master sailor and a commercially rated pilot and flight instructor. Stan will be guiding the participants on "bush construction" as part of their experience with Kodiak Pathways. |
Stan also works with high school youths designing and building theatrical sets in his home town in West Virginia where he resides with his wife. |
| Stan enjoys fishing‚ golfing‚ kayaking‚ and skiing. |
Andrea Stapleton RN 
| Senior Counselor, Nurse | Andrea has spent much of her nursing career in critical care‚ the operating room‚ and the emergency room. |
She has been an onsite coordinator managing the healthcare team for the "Youth at Risk" program sponsored by the Breakthrough Foundation of America. She enjoys kayaking‚ horseback riding‚ hiking‚ skiing‚ gardening‚ and cooking. |
| Andrea travels extensively and splits her time between the east and west coast. |
Orville "Butch" Verlanic 
| Equine Trainer and Counselor | | Butch is a third generation rancher of the famed "Verlanic Ranchers of Montana". |
| As an expert horseman‚ Butch provides guidance for our students with the care‚ management‚ and instruction on riding horses. This will be Butch’s third year returning to Kodiak Pathways. |
